Up to two children were killed in regime and/or Russian shelling in the village of Tadel in the countryside of Aleppo on August 10th, 2021, according to multiple sources.

The majority of sources reported the death of one child and the injury of two of her siblings. The child who died was named by four sources as Rayan al-Hassan, while two others named her as Lian al-Hassan. She was reportedly one and half years old. The surviving sibling had her leg amputated, according to multiple sources. She was identified by @pressrahhal as 12-year-old Rama.

The family’s house was reportedly hit by artillery shelling leading to the casualties. Most sources placed responsibility on regime forces, while @s2udFqewzZOZrQU implicated just Russian forces and other sources, including the Syrian Civil Defence, said it was regime and Russian artillery shelling. @anasanas84 meanwhile blamed the “Russian and Iranian militias”, as did @pressrahhal.

Baladi News reported that the bombing coincided with an intense flight of Russian reconnaissance planes over the region.

Airwars assessment

At least one civilians was killed and three others, including a child, were injured in alleged Russian, Iranian or regime artillery shelling on the town of Ain Larouz on August 8, 2021.

@syriapostnew1 reported that “a civilian was killed and 3 others were wounded as a result of artillery shelling by the Syrian regime forces targeting the town of Ain Larouz.”

A “Zaman Al-Wasl” reporter said that a civilian in his thirties died this morning, and three others, including a child, were injured. Step News identified some of the injuries as being serious.

The correspondent of Radio Al-Kul in the province said that “the regime bombed with several artillery shells agricultural lands and civilian homes in the village of Ain Larouz”.

The majority of sources attributed the strikes to the regime, specifically “regime forces stationed in the vicinity of the city of Kafranbel” according to Step News, and identified Russian laser guided Krasnopol shells as being used in the strikes. However, a tweet from @SbmjMS3nXS7DzvE blamed “the Russian and Iranian occupation militia” for the missiles and Zaman Al-Wasl assigned responsibility to the Russian-backed “25th Special Task Force”.

The incident occured around dawn.

Airwars assessment

Up to two civilians were killed and a further two injured after missiles reportedly struck vehicles in the village of Hazwan, east of Aleppo on August 5th, 2021. While most sources claimed the Syrian Democratic Forces were responsible, the Syrian Civil Defence said the missiles originated from areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces and regime forces.

The Syrian Civil Defence confirmed that one of their volunteers was among the injured. In a post, it wrote that one missile had targeted a crane car used in maintenance and the second hit an ambulance of the Syrian Civil Defense that had arrived on the scene. They noted that it originated from areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces and regime forces and Zaman Al Wasl added that the missiles originated from the members of the “SDF” militia stationed in the “Radar Shaala” area.

Zaman Al Wasl named the two civilians killed in the crane car as Mahmoud and Hassan Al Badi. Mohammed Al-Badi, who was reportedly accompanying them, was also injured, it said. Meanwhile @abualisar18 named Shihab Mahmoud Al Badi as one of the fatalities and not Mahmoud Al Badi. A social media user indicated that they knew both the deceased, noting that Hassan Al Badi and Mahmoud Al Badi were brothers.

Most sources said the deaths were caused by guided missiles.

The local time of the incident is unknown.

Between one and two civilians were killed and others were injured in alleged Russian or regime artillery strikes on the city of Jassim on July 29, 2021.

According to @MasarPressNet, “two civilians were killed and others were injured as a result of artillery shelling by Assad forces on the city of Jassim”. @DeirEzzore added that among those killed and injured were children but did not give specifics.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights put the toll at one man killed in Jassim.

Baladi News reported that the strikes “led to the death of two people, one of whom was a civilian”.

Syrian Network for Human Rights named two of the men killed, referring to then as civilians: Ali Abdul Razzaq al Halqi and Abdou Ahmad al Halqi.

@abazeid89 reported that the shelling occurred “after local fighters attacked the security centers of the regime inside the city”.

Over 50 shells fell on the city of Jassim during continuous shelling for 2 hours, according to @chessrabaa.

The majority of sources attributed the shelling to the regime and @Step_Agency specifically identified “regime forces stationed in the Jadiyah Brigade” as being responsible for the shelling. However, Syrian Civil Defense identified both the regime and Russia as carrying out artillery shelling across Dara’a.

The local time of the incident is unknown.
