Two people were killed and an unknown number of civilians was reported wounded in alleged YPG artillery strikes on the town of Jibreen, Aleppo governorate, on March 2nd, 2020, according to local sources. There are conflicting reports on whether the fatalities were civilians or militants.

Shaam Network reported that “violent clashes took place between the Syrian National Army and members of the Syrian Democratic Forces ‘Qasd’ on the axis of Jibreen – Azaz in the northern countryside, after the latter’s infiltration attempt in the area, and SDF then bombed the town of Jibreen with artillery shells, which led to the fall of two civilian martyrs and wounding others.”

@Step_Agency tweeted: “Two people killed and others wounded among civilians, as a result of artillery shelling in the town of Jibreen, north of Aleppo, from the points of the SDF militia surrounding the area.”

@AleppoAMC reported that “two civilians were killed by artillery shelling of SDF militia, targeting the town of Jibreen in the northern countryside of Aleppo.”

According to @watyy112552, two YPG militants were killed. Hence, it is unclear if the two reported fatalities were civilians or militants.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that two civilians were killed when pro-Turkey militants launched artillery on Jorin in Hama, Syria on March 2nd, 2020. The victims are a child and a woman. Seven civilians are reported injured in the attack.

“A woman and a child were martyred while seven civilians were injured in terrorist attacks with rocket shell on Jorin town in the far northwest countryside of Hama. SANA’s reporter said on Monday that the terrorist organizations, backed by the Turkish regime, fired  rocket shells on Jorin town that fell on a consolation house, killing two citizens and injuring seven others.”

Libya Ambulance Services said: “Two shells landed on the house of the Mami family in the Sidra area. A child was martyred and three members of the family were injured, and they were treated at the Independence Hospital in the municipality of Abu Salim.”

The Field Medicine and Support Center also reported one death and three injuries.

Al Wasat said: “In a GNA statement to Al Wasat, a 13-year-old child was killed and 4 members of the same family were injured by a shell that landed on their house on Tareeq Al Shok in Tripoli.

Libya Alahrar TV reported the same number of casualties.

Libya Alahrar TV said: “The Field Medicine and Support Center in Tripoli confirmed that 7 people from one family were injured after a shell fired by Haftar militia landed on their house in the Ain Zara area, Al-Sekka road.

The center added, through its official page, that among the wounded was a 3-year-old girl, all of whom were taken to the Qaddor clinic, near the area, to receive the necessary treatment.”

Up to two civilians were reported killed and several others injured in alleged Turkey artillery attack on Al Arimah town, west of Manbij city in northeastern Aleppo, Syria on February 28th, 2020, according to local sources. The attack is also believed to have caused four deaths and five injuries among regime forces and ‘loyalists’ as the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights described them.

“SOHR sources have said that Turkish forces, stationed at Sheikh Nasser base, carried out intensive rocket attacks on various areas of Al Arimah town, west of Manbij city in northeastern Aleppo, leaving casualties among civilians. Four member among regime forces and loyalists have been killed, and at least five others have sustained injuries of varying severity, while dozens of civilians have fled their homes in the wake of Turkish escalation as shelling has continued intensively.”

ynms79797979 said that 30 artillery shells were launched by Turkey on the area targeting Syrian Army and Al Bab Military Council in the villages around Al Arimah .

@NotWoofers said that “In Al Arimah , nine shells fired by the Turkish army landed inside the town, destroying two homes and wounding a civilian. Several civilian vehicles were also destroyed by these strikes. The Russian base in the town was allegedly the target of this attack.”

Libya Alahrar TV said: “The Mayor of Abu Salim Abdul Rahman Al-Hamedi reported that a woman was wounded and a number of houses near Al-Salam Street were damaged as a result of random shells falling.

For its part, the Department of Injured Affairs confirmed the evacuation of some serious cases in the Mitiga Hospital of the Military Medical Agency located near the airport due to the intense bombing of the area.”
