Two civilians were wounded in strikes by warplanes on Idlib on September 26th as well as by long range missiles fired on the city of Idlib, according to Smart News Agency. The Agency did not identify the culprit.

Other sources reported on as escalation in strikes on Idlib during this period.

On Sept 26th, Masrawy reported that “Russian forces have intensified their shelling of the northwestern province of Idlib, leaving dozens of dead and wounded.” The source added:”The  civil defense in the city of Idlib told the German news agency that the Russian and Syrian aircraft destroyed eight medical centers and hospitals and four of them went out of service completely. Additionally, three civil defense centres were targeted and all put out of service along with power stations in Khan Sheikun. A similar bombing drove two of them out of service.”

Citing the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Alghadalsoury said: “Russian and Syrian planes targeted the governorates of Idlib and Hama for seven consecutive days with more than 1,100 raids. The Observatory explained that these intensive raids killed at least 58 civilians, including 18 children under the age of 18 and 19 citizens over the age of 18. Some were injured, some were permanently disabled, and others were seriously injured.”

Between one and four civilians were killed and up to 10 others were wounded in an alleged regime ground-to-ground missile strike and/or a Russian airstrike on Kafr Karmin in the western suburbs of Aleppo, according to local sources.

According to Mohammad Shakrdy, “Russian warplanes targeted south of the town with four air strikes that killed two people. Additionally, there was a ground-to-ground missile strike”.

Baladi reported that “warplanes conducted four air raids around the town of Kafr Karmin in the western suburb of Aleppo, killing four civilians who were working in the stone quarry. Another 10 more civilians were seriously wounded”.

The Smart News Agency published a video featuring an interview with a member of the civil defence. According to Smart, a marble factory was destroyed. The source joined many others in blaming a regime ground-to-ground missile as well as Russian airpower.

At 0’36” in the footage, Mohammad Ibrahim from the civil defence says: “Today [Sept 26th] Kafr Karmin was hit with a land-to-land missile. We headed towards it about 100 meters behind us here. As soon as we got there warplanes hit us another time. We were hit with four consecutive raids.”

The interviewer then asks if anyone from the civil defence was hurt, and Mohammad Ibrahim replied: “Thank god there weren’t any casualties from the civil defence, but there was one civilian killed and others injured.”

As many as six civilians including a woman and an unspecified number of children were killed and at least two others were wounded in alleged Russian airstrikes against the village of Hawir al Eis in the southern suburbs of Aleppo, according to local media.

The Smart News Agency did not give an estimate of how any civilians were killed or wounded but Syrian Network for Human Rights included the estimate of six civilians killed in its report.

Both sources that reported on the incident, Smart News Agency and Syrian Network for Human Rights, identified Russian planes as the suspected source of the airstrikes.

At 0’20” in a video published by the Step News Agency, the reporter says: “We are now in the village of Huweir al Iss which Russian planes targeted with several air raids today  [Sept 26th] in which several people were killed and wounded. Russia has launched a campaign on Aleppo’s southern countryside with more than 20 daily raids. The civil defence has removed the dead and tended to the wounded.”

Step News Agency and the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SN4HR) reported that warplanes, suspected to be Russian, struck a school in the village of Al Qanatar in the southern Aleppo countryside on September 26th.

Step News Agency reported the killing of six civilians, although SN4HR only mentioned severe destruction to the school building, rendering it inoperable.

Other sources also said that Russia carried out a strike and reported that a number of civilians were wounded.
