@ShahbaPress reported “a civilian martyr and major material damages due to Russian airstrikes on the city of Binnish in Idlib countryside”. The Syrian Network for Human Rights identified the victim as Rami Haj Hamdan. The SNHR added that the missiles landed near the hospital of Islamic Medical Complex, partially damaging its building and equipment.

Edlib Media Center reported one killed civilian and two injured civilians as the result of Russian missile airstrikes. Step News Agency reported three injured civilians.

The White Helmets reported that they were “targeted” by a Russian airstrike while inspecting locations of the raid on Binnish, resulting in damage to their vehicle.

Between six and eleven civilians were reportedly killed and at least ten civilians were injured in alleged Russian airstrikes on the market of the town of Al Fou’a, Idlib governorate, on March 2nd, 2020, according to local sources.

@ShabhaPress reported nine martyrs and more than ten wounded civilians after Russian airstrikes. @so_ria98 tweeted: “The death toll of the massacre of Al Fo’a town has risen to 11 civilians, as a result of missile strikes by Russian warplanes targeting the city’s market.”

The Syrian Network for Human Rights identified two of the victims as Muhammad Fadi al Hafyan and Abdou Abu Fayyad. According to SNHR, “fixed-wing warplanes we believe were Russian fired missiles on their place near a military site of a faction of the armed opposition in al Fou’a city in the northern suburbs of Idlib governorate, on March 2.”

All other sources put the death toll at nine, with the exception of Shaam News Agency, who reported six killed civilians. All sources reported Russia as the belligerent. EMC reported that the Russian forces used rockets.

Ahmed Sheiko, director of the media office of the Syrian Civil Defence in Idlib, told Smart News Agency that “four civilians, including a child, were killed and five others were wounded, including two women, as a result of a raid by Russian warplanes targeting agricultural lands in the vicinity of Batneta village, north of Idlib”.

The Syrian Civil Defence reported the same numbers on Facebook, but added that the incident occurred in the morning. Edlib Media Center reported two killed civilians. EMC mentioned the use of rockets in the attack.

Nearly all sources reported Russia as the belligerent of the airstrikes, but the Syrian Network for Human Rights reported the Syrian regime had been responsible.

SMART News Agency reported that “five civilians, including a child, were killed and three others wounded on Sunday [March 1st, 2020], by Russian airstrikes on the village of Kafarnatin village, west of Aleppo, northern Syria”.

The Syrian Civil Defence reported that Syrian regime warplanes targeted the homes of civilians in the morning. The SCD in Aleppo reported the names of five killed civilians, including four male adults and a child: Mahdi Al JarrRaji Abdullah HassanIbrahim Jameel Al JarrImran Jamil Al Jarr and the child Muhammad Abdul Kafi Mustafa.

SCD Aleppo also identified three wounded victims, all part of the Al Jarr family, and stated there were three more unnamed injured civilians, putting the total toll of injured at six civilians.

Nearly all sources reported Russia as the belligerent, but the Syrian Civil Defence and the Syrian Network for Human Rights reported that the Syrian regime had been responsible.
