Airwars assessment

Multiple media reported that three civilians, including two women, were killed and up to ten more were wounded following aerial shelling of the village of al-Zafriya, Hama, though it was unclear among the sources who carried out the strikes.

Multiple sources reported from the incident, echoing the same thing; namely that three civilians were killed and at least two and as many as ten were left injured.

Baladi News’ correspondent said that “Russian aircraft carried out several raids this morning [Oct 10th] on residential neighbourhoods in the village of al-Zafria of Al-Hamra district of the eastern countryside of Hama, killing three civilians and injuring several other civilians who were left in a critical condition.”

The Facebook account Bawaba.Hamah identified the names of the three victims as well as four of the wounded. All seven people shared the same last name, suggesting they were related.

Sources were not clear in terms of when the incident occurred. While Baladi News’s correspondent reported that the shelling took place in the morning, Bawaba.Hamah said it took place in the afternoon.

While sources attributed blame to Russia, the Syrian Network for Human Rights identified “Syrian-Russian alliance warplanes” as the culprit.

The local time of the incident is unknown.

Airwars assessment

Up to two civilians were killed and several were left wounded following alleged Russain airstrikes on a water-crossing in Sabikahn, Deir Ezzor, local media reported.

Several sources reported that Russian-waged missiles had struck an “airfield waterway” or a “water-crossing”, reportedly to hinder the escape of people in the village, who were fleeing by boat, as noted by both @Abdallah5360 and @AlSharqia24.

According to most sources, the strikes resulted in civilian harm. For instance, @syria7ra reported that “the bombing (…) resulted in the occurrence of martyrs and wounded among civilians.”

However, @asharqasouri and the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SN4HR) reported only material damage. SN4HR said that the strikes had “severely damaged several ferries and boats in the crossing and rendering them inoperable.”

Up to three civilians, including two female children, were killed and several were left wounded following airstrikes striking the village of Al-Husayniya, Deir Ezzor, local media reported, though it was unclear who carried out the strikes.

Several sources reported the death of two children. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported “two female children were killed and others were injured, as a result of bombing by warplanes on Al-Husseiniyah village, in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, after the midnight of Tuesday – Wednesday (October 10th-11th, ed.)

As the only source, Sharqiya Voice reported that three civilians had been killed and did not mention the two children among the victims.

Finally, Step News Agency, who reported about the incident a couple of days after, on October 13th, said that the strikes had not caused any damage.

Only @olay6663 identified Russia as responsible as the remaining reports did not identify the culprit and merely referred to “warplanes”.

Airwars assessment

Three male victims, reportedly cousins, were killed and several other civilians were injured in alleged Russian or Assad regime strikes on al-Mayadeen, Deir Ezzor, local media reported.

Several sources reported the death of the three named victims. One of these was the Facebook account, Ahmad Abush, who listed the three victims and referred to them as “my cousins”.

@DeirEzzor24 additionally reported that “three civilians were martyred as a result of the targeting of their car by a missile while they were trying to flee from the town of Al-Mayadeen, eastern Deir Ezzor.” Several sources reported that the victims were hit as they were fleeing by car.

In addition to the fatalities, “several” were left injured according to multiple sources.

Though sources agreed about the way in which the victims had been killed, they conflicted on whether Russia or the regime caused the civilian harm.

It should be noted that Euphrates Post, who blamed Russia, said that the Russian Ministry of Defense had announced itself that it was carrying out airstrikes in al-Mayadeen.

The local time of the incident is unknown.
