Local media reported the death of one civilian woman in the al-Mouwasalat area of Aleppo as a consequence of aerial shelling – though it was unclear whether Russia or the Assad regime caused her death.

According to the Shaam News Network, “Russian and Assad’s warplanes continued their air raids on the city of Aleppo and its countryside, despite the announcement by the regime of its intention to ease the bombardment of the city. Raids have led to the fall of (..) one martyr in al Mouwasalat”.

Syria2011 reported that the victim was a woman, but did not named her.

According to local sources, the Khan al-Assal area in Aleppo was subject to warplane shelling, leading to the deaths of up to three civilians though reports were conflicted as to whether Russia or the Assad regime caused the civilian harm.

The twitter account @Aleppo reported that the strikes hit a funeral gathering.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that one man and child were killed due to the aerial strikes.

Baladi and Qasioun put the death toll at three.

Step News Agency reported about the illegal use of phosphorus and cluster bombs. There were also reports that barrel bombs were used in the attack.

According to local media, the Khan al-Sheikh camp was subject to intense aerial or artillery shelling, leading to the death of up to three civilians including a child. Two other people were reportedly wounded in the attack, which reports blamed on either Russia or the Assad regime. There were claims that a field hospital and a mosque were struck in the attack.

According to Syria News Desk  “regime forces targeted a field hospital in Khan al sheikh with four explosive barrels and rocket-propelled artillery. Russian warplanes also launched raids with cluster bombs on the town, killing three civilians, including a child, and wounding several others”.

Some sources reported that the strikes struck a hospital, while AqsaTV added that a mosque was hit.

Many sources reported the illegal use of cluster bombs; among these were Qasioun, Step News, @freesyr046, @JobarNews1 and Syrian Press Center.

Most sources – such as Qasioun, Step News, Syrian Press Center and LCCSY – attributed the strikes to Russia, while a few (Smart News Agency, Shaware3mo5ym and  Islam Memo) pointed to the Assad regime.

Finally, Aqsa TV and Syria News Desk said that both Russia and the Assad regime were responsible.

Five civilians including a woman and a child died in alleged Russian or regime airstrikes on Douma, according to sources on the ground. A further 20 non-combatants were claimed wounded.

Syria News Desk reported: “five civilians: a child, a disabled man, an old man, a woman and a young man children and disabled and elderly woman and a young man, and wounded more than 20 others”. Furthermore, the media reported that “the bombing has led to widespread destruction of homes and in the streets”. The twitter account @Douma_revo even reported about the illegal use of cluster bombs.

It remained contested who carried out the strikes in the city of Douma, which was controlled by the opposition. Most pointed to the Assad regime, such as Madar daily, Syrian Civil Defense, Ara News, while Syria News Desk attributed the strike to both the Assad regime and Russia.

The location hit was Sheikh Fares, which is inside the Sheikh Khudar area.

According to Thiqan News Agency, there were “two martyrs and a number of wounded due to surface to surface missiles being fired in Sheikh Fares”.

Al-Araby said that “three civilians including two children and a woman were killed due to the regime firing a surface to surface missile”.
