Local sources reported that a child was killed and his father and others were injured in alleged Russian or Syrian regime airstrikes on Kansafra, Idlib governorate, around noon on July 4th, 2019. The Syrian Civil Defense was at the scene and reported that the village was struck with an explosive missile.

According to the Syrian Network for Human Rights, “the child Yousef Samir Kfarjoumi, from Bsamis village in Idlib governorate southern suburbs, age 9, was killed as fixed-wing warplanes we believe were Russian fired missiles on east of Kansafra village”.

@SyrianCoalition alleged “the martyrdom of a child and his father’s injury as a result of Russian airstrikes on the outskirts of the town of Kansafra in Idlib.”

@AlkhaleejOnline tweeted: “A child was killed and civilians were injured in Russian raids on the town of Kansafra in Idlib countryside.” Other sources also reported multiple wounded but did not specify the number. Ebaa News added that the strikes led to “significant damage” of civilian’s property.

While nearly all sources blamed Russia for the strikes, @ShahbaPress pointed to the Syrian regime. Justice Organisation blamed both Russian warplanes and Syrian regime helicopters for the strikes.

The incident occured around midday.

At least two civilians were killed in an airstrike on Kafar Nabil as more than 10 aircrafts of the Syrian and Russian forces alternated bombing with explosive barrels and cluster missiles.

According to Edlib Media Center, the child was killed and others injured as cluster rockets struck a residential neighborhood.

Syrian Network for Human Rights alleged that “Ahmad Mohammad Radwan al Damour was killed Syrian regime forces helicopters dropped tens of barrel bombs on Kafranbel city in Idlib.” Kafranbel live and Ahmed Al Haniny said he was an adult and “the third martyr and the last youth from the family of Ahmad Muhammad al-Damour during the course of the Syrian revolution.”

Macro Media Center specified that four others in addition to the child were injured, including a volunteer from the Syrian Civil Defense.

MMC posted pictures tagged: “The first moments of the targeting of the cities of Kafr Nabl and Hass in the southern countryside of Idlib with barrel bombs dropped from helicopters of the regime forces, which led to the deaths of martyrs and wounded civilians.”

@modar28 tweeted: “10 aircraft (Russian and Assad) bomb the city of Kafr Nabl with more than 25 airstrikes, in conjunction with the flight of reconnaissance aircraft to ensure the destruction of all neighborhoods and neighboring villages, and dozens of martyrs and wounded, most of them children, women and elderly.”

Syrian Network for Human Rights reported that “the girl Hanaa Jamal al Sheikh Najib was killed as Syrian regime forces helicopters dropped barrel bombs on Hass village in Idlib governorate southern suburbs, on July 4th.”

Meanwhile other sources alleged “others injured”, with Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stating that “a female child was killed when barrel bombs were dropped by helicopters on Hass village – the death toll is expected to rise because there are people in a critical situation.”

Most sources attributed the attack to the Syrian regime using barrelbombs from helicopters. @SyrianCoalition named both Russian forces and the Syrian regime in reporting the incident.

Halab Today TV said one woman was killed and other wounded.

7al reported: “The reporter confirmed the fall of a child and wounding dozens of civilians as a result of those violent raids that also destroyed many properties.”

A Orient News team reported coming under fire from Assad forces in Hass on the same day.

Two civilians were reportedly injured in alleged Russian airstrikes in the vicinity of the city of Jisr Al Shughour, Idlib governorate, on July 5th, 2018, according to Edlib Media Center.

EMC reported “two civilian casualties as a result of the targeting of the Russian occupation aircraft around the city of Jisr Al Shughour in the western countryside of Idlib with rockets.”

@rahhalahmad06 tweeted that three Russian airstrikes targeted the vicinity of Jisr Al Shughour, including a cork factory. The source did not mention civilian casualties. Hence, while the strike status is graded as likely by Airwars, the civilian harm status is weak.

14 to 17 civilians were reported killed, and 20 to 24 injured, in airstrikes on Mhambel, Idlib, on July 5th.

Syrian Network for Human Rights alleged that “at least 16 civilians, including ten children and four women, were killed in an intensive aerial attack by Syrian regime forces using missiles and barrel bombs on several areas in Mhambel town in Idlib governorate western suburbs, on July 5th.”

Meanwhile, Step News Agency cited “more than seven civilians killed and a number wounded, including children and women.” A number of sources referred to “dozens wounded,” while @SyrianCoaliton documented 20 injured.

Syrian Network for Human Rights reported that “the children Arij, Saher and Samer Abdul Qader Abdul Aal were killed, along with their father and their mother Yasmin Taher Hafyan, as Syrian regime forces dropped barrel bombs on west of Mhambel town in Idlib governorate western suburbs, causing a massacre, on July 5th.”

According to this source, a doctor was also killed the airstrike, named ‘Mohammad Badr Abdul Baqi’, who succumbed to his wounds on July 8th.

@SyrianCoalition also reported that “the shelling caused fires and the destruction of homes and property, forcing large numbers of people to flee.”

Eleven sources attributed the attack to the Syrian regime, while seven others did not positively attribute blame. Two sources named both Russian forces and the Syrian regime in reporting the incident.

Local resources identified 14 of the victims while there are four unidentified yet. Resala post said they are “Unidentified woman lives in the house of Mohammad Adel Al-Sa’eed and her two children, in addition to a child from Morek who lives in the house of Malek Rahhal.”

@so_ria98 said that two of the families killed are IDPs from Eastern Ghouta.

Three civilians from one family, including an infant, were reportedly killed in alleged Russian airstrikes on Mourak, Hama governorate, on July 6th, 2019, according to local sources.

According to Syrian Network for Human Rights, “three civilians (a girl and her parents), were killed while grazing sheep as warplanes we believe were Russian fired missiles on the vicinity of Morek town in Hama governorate northern suburbs, on July 6th.”

Syria Civil Defense alleged that a “father, wife and son” were killed in the attack, while @so_ria98 names “Kanhar Mohamed El Wardi, his wife and his two months old daughter” as slain in the incident. The Syrian Human Rights Committee also reported that the child was a girl. According to @so_ria98, the family was displaced from the village of Krah. According to @HalabTodayTV, “others from the same family were injured.”

Similarly, Step News stated that “Russian and Syrian warplanes launched several airstrikes on Saturday, on the towns of Mourak, Altamneh and Kafarzita in the northern Hama countryside, causing the deaths of three people and a number of wounded from the same family.”

All sources reported that Russia had been responsible for the strikes. Only Step News Agency mentioned the Syrian regime in a summary of events on July 6th, including airstrikes on Al Tamneh and Kafarzeita. Hence, the civilian harm status for this incident is graded as fair.

Up to twelve civilians including at least six from the same family were reported killed in artillery shelling on Qastoun, Hama, on July 7th.

The family members killed were originally from Al-Badriya village, and were killed while working in the agricultural lands between Qastoun and Badriya.

According to Syrian Network for Human Rights, “at least six civilians from the same family, including two girls and two women, were killed as Syrian regime forces fired artillery shells while they were working on agricultural land between Qastoun village and al Sahen village in Idlib governorate western suburbs, on July 7th.”

ResalaPost and Zamanalwsl  mentioned Russian participation in the attacks on Idlib and Hama on that day. Three sources attributed the attack to the Syrian regime, while one source did not positively attribute blame.
