Airwars assessment

Two civilians – a child and a woman – died in an airstrike on Maarat al Numan, according to local sources – though reports are conflicted as to whether this was the work of Russia or the Syrian regime.

LCCSY said that one civilian died and several others were wounded in a suspected Russian strike.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, “warplanes” carried out strikes on areas of Maarat al Numan, killing a child and injuring others – though it did not identify the planes.

A second SO4HR report said that “a woman was killed while others were wounded by aerial bombardment on Ma’ra al-Nu’man“, though it is currently unclear whether this is the same incident as the one previously reported.

However, the Syrian Network for Human Rights blamed the regime, publishing an image of the remains of cluster ammunition which they said had been fired by “government forces”.

The local time of the incident is unknown.

Airwars assessment

Local sources said that two civilians died in an airstrike on Hraytan – though reports are conflicted as to whether this was the work of Russia or the Syrian regime.

The White Helmets published a video and image of them extinguishing a fire in a “civilian car” which they said had been caused by “helicopters firing barrel bombs” – suggesting that this was an attack by the regime.

However, subsequent posts by the White Helmets spoke of “raids using vacuum missiles” and “Russian raids“, indicating that this may have been the work of the regime and Russia.

Other sources pointed towards Russia, with Syria_24s saying that Moscow launched 13 raids with cluster bombs.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights blamed the regime, and said that two non-combatants were killed. According to Damas_time: “the Syrian Air Force targeted armed groups in Handarat and Haritan and the perimeter of the military school.”

Two victims were named – as killed by Russian cluster bombs – by the Violations Documentation Center.

The local time of the incident is unknown.

The victims were named as:

Airwars assessment

Several civilians died in alleged Russian strikes on various locations across Aleppo during the second day of Ramadan, according to local sources.

The Shaam News Network reported that Russian warplanes and regime helicopters “launched air raids using phosphorous and cluster bombs and explosive barrels on the cities of Huraytan and anadan and towns of Hayan and Kafr Hamrah and Maarat al Artiq, al Leiramon, al Mallah, Al Qabr al Inglisi and Assiya which led to the fall of the martyrs and the number of wounded among civilians“.

A subsequent SNN report said that Russia was to blame, while a video reported the use of “phosophrous and cluster and vacuum bombs” in Anadan on the second day of Ramadan.

Alalam published the same video and said that Russia was responsible.

The local time of the incident is unknown.

Airwars assessment

Four civilians died in an airstrike on Kafr Hamra, according to local sources – though reports were conflicted as to whether Russia or the Syrian regime were to blame.

The Shaam News Network, reported that 21 civilians died in Aleppo “in the first day of Ramadan in regime and Russian bombing“. It put the death toll in Kafr Hamra at four civilians.

The White Helmets said there had been two raids at noon, killing four civilians, and also setting fire to shops, but they did not say who the “warplanes” belonged to.

However, the Syrian Network for Human Rights blamed “suspected Russian warplanes” and put the death toll at three.

According to Syriapost1, Russian warplanes used “internationally-prohibited phosphorous bombs”.

But the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the regime was responsible for raids on Aleppo neighborhoods (including Kafr Hamra) which had killed 17 civilians.

A number of other sources, including SHRC didn’t identify the warplanes responsible.

The local time of the incident is unknown.
