One man was killed and a woman was injured in an alleged Russian or Syrian regime airstrike on the village of Mardiekh, Idlib Governorate, on January 26th, 2020, according to local media.

The Local Coordination Committees of Syria reported: “16:02 A regime’s Sukhoi 22 warplane raid targets the outskirts of Mardikh village and resulted in the death of Ammar Mahmoud Kassih.”

Several additional sources named Mr. Kassih as having been killed in the bombing.

The Facebook page, Saraqeb Deaths, said Mr. Kassih was approximately 25 years old and lived in the “Western District, Western Ayoub Sweets, 100 meters away from Ayoub sweets.”

The Palestine News Network quoted the Syrian Civil Defense as saying: “a man was killed in the town of Mardikh as a result of the bombing of the Russian warplanes, and a woman was injured as a result of the same bombing”.

@syrian191124 listed several towns, including Mardiekh, and said they had been the “targets of warplanes, helicopters, and various types of missiles and weapons”.

The majority of sources that named a belligerent said Russia had carried out the strike.

The incident occured at 16:03:00 local time.

One man his wife were killed and four children injured in an alleged Syrian regime or Russian artillery strikes on the night of February 4th to February 5th, 2020, according to local sources.

The Syrian Civil Defence reported that “Mr. Ahmad Rostom was killed and his family – his wife and four children were injured – due to artillery shelling by the regime forces, which targeted their house in the town of Ainjara in Aleppo countryside, at midnight on Tuesday”.

However, Step News Agency later reported that one of the injured women died on February 5th as the result of her wounds. @Step_Agency said: “A woman was killed in a missile attack by the Syrian regime forces yesterday night in the town of Ainjara”.

Several sources reported the strike took place at midnight.

@Shahbapress said Syrian regime forces used artillery and rocket launchers  to shell the town.

Activists from Aleppo told Khobar 24 that a gunman from a Turkish-backed faction was also killed in the strike. Activists reportedly told the source that Russian and Syrian warplanes carried out more than 60 airstrikes on the southern and western countryside of Aleppo.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights said Syrian regime forces’ fired artillery that struck Talhah Bin Obiadallah Mosque in the west of Einjara village partially destroying the building and damaging furniture.

Whereas some sources stated the artillery strikes were carried out by the Syrian regime, other sources did not specify a belligerent. Shaam News Network blamed both the Syrian regime and Russia. Due to Russia being an active belligerent in the area, Airwars has graded this incident as contested.

Shaam Network reported that, “Russian and Assad warplanes launched dozens of airstrikes, accompanied by fierce artillery and missile shelling that targeted the areas of clashes, cities, towns, villages of Azaz, Huritan, Kafr Hamrah, Andan, Maarat Al-Ateeq, Kafr Alepp, Greater Awarm, Babis, Kafr Basin, Kafr Dael, Al-Rashideen Association, Khan Al-Asal, and Bashnata, which resulted in the fall of 4 martyrs in Urm Al Kubra. One lady in Hayyan, and many wounded, in the rest of the targeted areas.”

Local sources reported that one civilian was killed and up to ten others were injured during Russian airstrikes in the village of Patron, near Darat Azza, Aleppo, on February 15th 2020.

According to the White Helmets, “one person was killed and 10 others were wounded, as a result of four air strikes, that targeted civilian homes near the city of Darat Azza in the western countryside of Aleppo.” The source did not identify who carried out the strikes.

The Shaam News Network also reported “one martyr near Dar Ezza”, blaming “very violent [Russian] air strikes…heavy artillery and missile shelling”.

Baladi News reported that their correspondent in Aleppo said, “the Russian warplanes bombed, with four air raids, high-explosive missiles and vaccuum bombs, civilian homes near the city of Darat Izza in the western countryside of Aleppo, which led to the death of a civilian and the wounding of ten others.”

A local source, @annaser50 tweeted that the shelling was as a result of “long-range ballistic missiles by the Russian warship in the Mediterranean,” which is different from other reports of an aerial bombardment.
