Smart News Agency reported that “a local source in the village of Hunaidah in rural West Raqqa said four civilians were killed and 11 wounded following raids by the coalition. The injured people were taken to an IS run hospital in the western countryside, but the location was not specified.”

Marobobuzer, also blaming the Coalition, put the death toll at 13.

Three civilians from one family were killed in an alleged Russian raid on Kfar Nbouda, according to reports from the ground. Both sources blamed Russian warplanes for the raid.

The Smart News Agency reported: “Three civilians from a family were killed on Monday night [April 3rd] by a bombardment of warplanes likely to be Russian on the town in the countryside of Hama, central Syria, the civil defence correspondent told Smart. The civil defence said that the aircraft launched raids on the town of Kafr Nbouda (50 km northwest of the city of Hama), killing a man and his wife and child, without mentioning the presence of wounded.”

Halab News reported “three martyrs and others stuck under the rubble following Russian raids on Kfar Nbouda in the Hama countryside.”

Airwars assessment

As many as eight civilians were killed, and dozens more were wounded in an airstrike on a residential neighbourhood in Hamouriya. Sources were conflicted regarding who was to blame. All sources blamed the Syrian regime except Smart who pointed to Russian warplanes. The shelling reportedly occurred in conjunction with many other raids on towns in the countryside of Damascus.

TRT Arabic tweeted that dozens were killed and injured following Syrian regime raids on Hamouriya. They also published photographs of injured children being treated in a medical facility. 

Hazem Alshami published footage of the exact moment the raids hit, and captioned the video “An airstrike with seven rockets from the cities of Sakaba and Hamouriya in eastern Al-Ghouta”.

Airwars assessment

Up to 18 civilians were killed, and between 12 and 50 were wounded, following an airstrike on Saqba. Sources were conflicted as to who was to blame, some attributing blame to Russia, while others blamed the Syrian regime – though the majority of sources pointed to Russia.

Four rockets were allegedly fired at one residential building, according to Aladehye.

There was disparity as to how many women and children casualties there were in the raid. Smart news reported that two children and four women were killed. Rfsmediaoffice put the number of children killed as high as 13 – they also blamed Syrian regime for the raids.

Smart News later reported that the number of casualties had risen to 17, “mostly from the family, “Khamis”, including seven women, one pregnant, and three children. One of them is a baby.”

Syriahr was the last to report, and suggested 18 had been killed in the raid so far. 

According to Raialyoum News 165 people were injured in the past two days in Eastern Ghouta alone, dozens of them being from Saqba.

Similarly Egy news reported this was the second day in a row the vicinity was struck by warplanes. @RevolutionSyria also reported “more than 200 air raids in two days [on Saqba], leaving dozens of martyrs and wounded”.

More than one source suggested that the death toll would likely rise due to the severity of many of those wounded.

An elderly woman was killed when her home in the agricultural neighbourhood of Ainjara, Aleppo was struck by missiles. Sources all reported that Russia was to be held accountable for this raid.

According to sources, others were also wounded.

Footage published by Smart News, shows the damage left behind and the remnants of the missile shell.

The woman’s son, Ahmad Talha, and her, husband Mohammad Talha, were both named by Smart. The son had planned to take his mother on a pilgrimage this year.

As many as 37 civilians were killed, and between 12 and 50 were wounded, following an airstrike on Salqeen – according to local sources. Up to 17 children and five women were allegedly killed in this raid on the residential neighbourhood. According to Euphrates Post, “four of them a family from eastern Deir Ezzor”. The number of dead was reportedly likely to rise due to the severity of some of the wounded.

Sources were conflicted as to who was to blame. Many blamed Russia for the strikes, and others blamed the Syrian regime, however Qasioun News blamed the International Coalition for the raid; they were the only source to attribute blame to the Coalition.

Multiple sources such as Orient News, reported that warplanes “targeted a school, mosque and a popular market in the city of Salqeen”. The Syrian Network for Human Rights named al Rawda Mosque. Unayyapress amongst others, reported that residential buildings were also struck, trapping many civilians under the rubble. They added that more than one missile “targeted” the area “which led to the collapse of parts of buildings over the heads of its inhabitants”. Syria News Desk additionally reported that a clock tower was also caught in the raid and partially destroyed. 

The wounded were allegedly taken to medical facilities in other parts of Idlib. 

Multiple sources, including the Step News Agency, reported that vacuum missiles were responsible for the destruction on the vicinity.

In their June 2020 civilian casualty report, the US-led Coalition assessed reports that they were responsible for civilian harm in this strike as “non-credible”, stating that no Coalition actions were conducted in the geographical area at that time.

Various sources reported an LNA strike near Al-Jufra that allegedly killed a man and injured four Chadian citizens. However, the sources didn’t give information regarding whether the victims were civilians or not.

According to Ali Salim, “there was one dead and four Chadian wounded following night air raids on Al Jufra base.”

Ean Libya reported that there had been no civilian casualties, however, Libya Alaan reported that “the airbase was blown up by aerial bombardment on Tuesday night [April 4th], resulting in the injury of missile launchers who were there”.
