Notes

Reports 21 aerial missions in which 15 armed reconnaissance patrols has allowed the destruction of ground targets. On Friday, January 9, operating in difficult weather conditions, an army reconnaissance patrol destroyed two fighting positions Daech in the Mosul region of northern Iraq. During an armed reconnaissance mission Sunday, January 11, 2015, two French fighter jets intervened against Daesh, guided by a tactical drone that followed the fighting on the ground. Their action helped neutralize fighters in a combat zone north of Fallujah. On Monday January 12, the French hunters are again intervened in the Mosul region to neutralize a fighting position from which fighters were operating Daech mortar fire.

CHAMMAL : point de situation du 15 janvier 2015

Le vendredi 9 janvier, opérant dans des conditions météorologiques difficiles, une patrouille de reconnaissance armée a détruit deux positions de combat de Daech dans la région de Mossoul, au Nord de l’Irak.

Lors d’une mission de reconnaissance armée le dimanche 11 janvier 2015, deux avions de chasse français sont intervenus contre Daech, guidés par un drone tactique qui suivait des combats au sol. Leur action a permis la neutralisation de combattants dans une zone de combat située au nord de Falloujah.

Le lundi 12 janvier, les chasseurs français sont de nouveau intervenus dans la région de Mossoul afin de neutraliser un poste de combat depuis lequel les combattants de Daech opéraient des tirs de mortier.

Sur le volet maritime, la frégate anti-aérienne Jean Bart a appareillé samedi 10 janvier après une escale de maintenance. Elle poursuit sa mission d’escorte du porte-avions Carl Vinson et de contrôle de l’espace aérien irakien au sein de la Task Force 50.

Lancée le 19 septembre 2014, l’opération Chammal vise, à la demande du gouvernement irakien et en coordination avec les alliés de la France présents dans la région, à assurer un soutien aérien aux forces armées irakiennes dans leur lutte contre le groupe terroriste autoproclamé Daech. Le dispositif est structuré autour de neuf avions Rafale, six avions Mirage 2000D, un ravitailleur C-135 FR, un avion de patrouille maritime Atlantique 2 et la frégate anti-aérienne Jean Bart, intégrée dans le groupe aéronaval américain constitué autour du porte-avions USS Carl Vinson.

De danske fly har fløjet Close Air Support-missioner (CAS), hvor flyene er indsat direkte som luftstøtte til styrker på landjorden. Her vil flyene patruljere over et bestemt område, hvorefter de vil kunne blive indsat af koalitionen, når der er behov for støtte. Luftstøtten vil variere afhængig af, hvad der er behov for. Det kan både dreje sig om overvågningsopgaver og bombninger af mål.

Derudover har de danske fly gennemført flere missioner, der kaldes Airborne Alert Interdiction. Ved denne type missioner patruljerer flyet i luften, samtidig med at piloten får udpeget nogle objekter og steder på jorden, der skal ses nærmere på. Hvis der her lokaliseres og identificeres militære mål, kan flyene på samme måde som under Close Air Support-missioner (CAS) beordres til at angribe disse mål.

På de missioner, hvor de danske F-16 ikke har anvendt våben, har de bidraget med overvågning og indhentning af efterretninger. På sådanne overvågningsmissioner er flyene dog altid klar til at anvende våben, hvis der er behov for det.

Siden første mission den 16. oktober 2014, har det danske bidrag i alt fløjet 139 missioner og anvendt 93 bomber. Alle de danske bomber er præcisionsstyrede, hvilket vil sige, at de styres mod deres mål ved hjælp af enten laser eller GPS.

Derudover har de danske fly gennemført flere missioner, der kaldes Airborne Alert Interdiction. Ved denne type missioner patruljerer flyet i luften, samtidig med at piloten får udpeget nogle objekter og steder på jorden, der skal ses nærmere på. Hvis der her lokaliseres og identificeres militære mål, kan flyene på samme måde som under Close Air Support-missioner (CAS) beordres til at angribe disse mål.

På de missioner, hvor de danske F-16 ikke har anvendt våben, har de bidraget med overvågning og indhentning af efterretninger. På sådanne overvågningsmissioner er flyene dog altid klar til at anvende våben, hvis der er behov for det.

Siden første mission den 16. oktober 2014, har det danske bidrag i alt fløjet 139 missioner og anvendt 93 bomber. Alle de danske bomber er præcisionsstyrede, hvilket vil sige, at de styres mod deres mål ved hjælp af enten laser eller GPS.

Reports that its squadron of 6 F-16s have so far carried out 375 missions and dropped more than 200 munitions.

07-01-2015 – 14:40: Na 375 missies en meer dan 200 keer de wapens te hebben ingezet, keert deze week het eerste F-16-detachement uit het Midden-Oosten in Nederland terug. De jachtvliegers waren ingezet om ISIS te bestrijden.

Vandaag trad de nieuwe commandant aan onder wiens bevel het nieuwe detachement de taken tegen ISIS uitvoert. Met 6 F-16’s, 2 reservetoestellen en 250 militairen draagt de Koninklijke Luchtmacht bij aan de internationale strijd tegen ISIS in Irak. Dat gebeurt 24 uur per dag, 7 dagen per week. De opmars van ISIS en daaraan gelieerde organisaties, vormt een directe dreiging voor de regio en veroorzaakt instabiliteit aan de grenzen van Europa.
