Dozens of civilians were injured in airstrikes and shelling by rockets on Douma, local media reported. Sources attributed the blame to both Russia and the Syrian regime.

According to Yaqeen News, “Russia and Assad renewed raids on the cities and towns of Eastern Ghouta on Tuesday [March 13th]…warplanes launched air raids on cities and towns, including Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Saqba and Hamouriyeh, while artillery targeted the town of Kafarbetna, causing dozens of casualties, mostly civilians.”

Similarly, the Shaam News network reported that “dozens were injured in Harasta, Douma, Jisreen,Hamouriya , Zamalka, Arbeen, Hazza, and al-Rayhan”.

@SYR_REV_NEWS noted that rockets “targeted” Douma. Rocket shelling targets Douma city

One member of the White Helmets was killed and three more injured in an alleged Russian or regime airstrike on the civil defence centre 103 in Damascus, local media reported.

Douma.Revolution and @SiegeWatch  reported that one civil defence volunteer, Rifat Idris, was killed, and three more were wounded.

The airstrikes that struck the Civil Defence Centre resulted in the destruction of the centre completely, and it was left out of service. The centre supported the towns of Hazza, Zamalka, and Ein Tarma.

An unspecified number of civilians were killed and wounded in airstrikes on Hamouriya, local media reported. Sources lamed both Russian and Syrian regime raids for the strikes. There were multiple reports of barrel bombing.

Local sources said that cluster and phosphorus rockets were dropped by helicopters. There were as many as eight explosive barrels dropped onto the residential neighbourhood causing civilian casualties.

According to @haifaa_ahmad1, March 13th saw an “increase shelling with explosive barrels from the helicopter. Fourteen barrels were dropped, in addition to intensive artillery shelling with than 20 shells on residential neighbourhoods in the city since the morning until this moment.”

@syrianscene noted that “many civilians were injured in the targeting of civilian houses in the town of Hamuoria by Assad’s forces”.

Meanwhile, the Local Coordination Committees of Syria reported “the fall of martyrs and wounded civilians as a result of raids by the Russian warplanes on the cities and towns of Douma and Harsta and Kafrbna and bridges and Zamalek and Hamuria in Ghouta”.

Two civilians – a man and a woman, both named – were killed in alleged Russian or regime airstrikes, and an unspecified number more were injured, local media reported.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that “The areas of the town of Haza have been hit by a renewed bombardment of the regime forces by 10 shells, which affected areas, causing material damage, without information about casualties.”

Despite, this, all others sources reported that there were two fatalities as a result of the raid, including Violations Documentation Centre, who named the victims, blaming warplane shelling by the “Syrian government and affiliated militias”.

Abu Alkheer kheer noted that the victim Abd al-Rahman Ali Arafeh was his brother. He added that his aunt was also killed.He also noted that Abd al-Rahman Ali Arafeh was “the third among his brothers, and that his mother was killed by the bombardment of his house in al-Ghouta East”.

Sana Kasem published a post on Facebook saying that “my dear brother ‘s daughter, Ayat Husam Kasim, was taken prisoner by the army. The brutal regime caused a house to fall on her head. She was 20-years-old”.

In what local media referred to as “a massacre”, up to nine civilians were killed and as many as 15 were wounded in airstrikes on the residential neighbourhood of Al Qousour, according to local media. Sources attributed the blame to Russia and Syrian regime raids.

The bombing caused an entire building to completely collapse, trapping civilians under the rubble of their homes.

Three women and a child were included in the death toll, according to sources. For example, Zaiton said: “Russian warplanes of the Sukhoi type targeted the neighborhoods of Idlib with five air strikes with high-explosive rockets, leaving three martyrs, including a girl and more than 15 wounded…warplanes caused the collapse of a complete building on the residents in the neighbourhood of Al Kusoor in the city of Idlib”.

Out of the named victims, three were unidentified adult males. Three of the victims were Palestinians, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that both Russian and Syrian warplanes fired onto Al Qousour, “causing the destruction of residential building, [the death of] three Palestinians, including a girl, and 15 others were injured.”

They added that “at least three families are still under the rubble of the shelling. The rescue teams are recovering from the debris of the shelling.”

Between three and five civilians were killed and “a large number” more were wounded in air and artillery strikes on Harasta, according to local media. Sources attributed the blame to both Russia and the Syrian regime.

@Wesal_TV and @HalabTodayTV  and other sources put the death toll at three. However, the Violations Documentation Centre listed five adult male fatalities. It said the victims has been killed by “Syrian government and affiliated militias” who had used “cluster munitions”. @millitry_report mentioned the use of “elephant rockets”, while @hamadaalhr noted “shelling with all types of weapons, including prohibited ammunition”.

There were reportedly as many as six raids which struck the residential vicinity, which included dozens of ground-to-ground missiles targeting civilians homes.

At least 17 civilians including a child were killed and an “many” others were injured, in air and artillery strikes on Ain Tarma, local media reported. Sources attributed the blame to both Russia and the Syrian regime. There were also reports of rocket attacks.

HomsNetworkLive reported that the “Syrian Arab Army [began] a military operation towards the positions of the jabhat Nosra in the town of Ein Terma. Violent clashes are taking place in the vicinity of the town amid heavy artillery shelling targeting the sites and movements of armed terrorist groups.”

The Violations Documentation Centre listed 17 unidentified adult male civilian fatalities, killed by the “Syrian government and affiliated militias”.

Almarkaz Alwatni said that a child was also killed.

The raids reportedly occurred in the night, according to local media.
