Airwars assessment

A girl was killed and her parents were injured in heavy artillery shelling by alleged Turkey-backed factions on the village of Arab Hasan, Aleppo governorate, on March 30th, 2020, according to local sources.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that it had “monitored this evening [March 3, 2020] heavy artillery shelling by Turkish-backed factions, targeting the village of Arab Hasan, north of Manbij city, killing a little girl and seriously injuring her father.”

According to @NotWoofers, 6-year-old Yasmin Hussein Al Hajji was killed in the incident. Her parents Amina Ibrahim and Hussein Abed Al Hajji were reportedly wounded and treated in Manbij hospital. @vdcnsy stated the girl had been 5 years old.

Hawar News reported that, according to the Media Center of Manbij Military Council, “the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries stationed at the Turkish base in the village of Arab Hassen Saghir bombed the village of Arab Hassen Kabir, a densely populated village, with shells and rockets, this evening, as several shells landed on the civilian homes.”

All sources blamed Turkish-backed forces for the incident.

A woman was allegedly killed and her two sisters injured by a GNA artillery strike on Qasr Bin Gashir.

Hona Souq Al-Khmies did not report civilian harm but secondary explosions in the area: “A video showing the rise of smoke from the ammunition store in the companies complex in Qasr Bin Gashir after it was targeted by the Al-Wefaq [GNA] artillery and the sounds of ammunition explosions.”

The GNA itself declared conducting strikes via its Burkan Al Ghadab page: “Our artillery, precisely, targeted a building in Qasr Bin Gashir, in which a Russian mercenary manages to operate a cannon targeting the civilian neighborhoods of Tripoli.

Our hero’s heavy artillery destroyed an ammunition store in Qasr Bin Gashir”

Tk Yahroug Kl shy said: “After a random shell fell this morning on a house in Al-Manara Road, the wife of Saadi Aoun died, and the deceased seems to be Najia ِAl Saroukh.”

Zohra Shetwi posted on Facebook: “I am God, and to Him we shall return. I have moved to the mercy of God Almighty today.

Najia Al Saroukh, mother of my friend Rabiaa, may God bless her soul

My Lord heals her 2 sisters and injured.”

Two paramedics were allegedly injured by LNA shelling on Abugrein.

Libya Alahrar TV said: “Urgent: Media Adviser to the Ministry of Health, Lamine Al-Hashemi: Two paramedics were wounded and an ambulance was destroyed in the Abugrein area due to shelling of Haftar militias”

The Libya Observer wrote: “The Crisis and Emergency Committee of the Ministry of Health has condemned in its strongest terms the targeting of a medical team on Friday in the Abu Qurain area near Sirte.

The attack resulted in the injury of several paramedics and destroyed an ambulance, according to the committee, describing it as ‘an immoral attack’.

The head of the Crisis and Emergency Committee at the Ministry of Health, Fawzi Onis, stressed that such offensives, which violate all domestic and international laws will be added to the record of attacks on the health sector and its workers since the start of the aggression against Tripoli.

‘These actions put medical staff and paramedics at risk and adds to the suffering of the sick and the injured,’ Onis explained.”

The Field Medicine and Support Center wrote: “A shell landed on a house in Al-Hadaba area (Potatoes), and the cases were transferred to Abu Salim Hospital.”

Libya Alahar TV said: “A family was injured in Al-Hadba area due to the indiscriminate shelling of Haftar militias in the area.”

Tk Yahroug Kl shy, however, posted pictures of the incident and added: “Pictures show that one of the shells landed in the plateau area, opposite the Military College, thank God there are no human damages.”

Two civilians were reported injured when Turkish forces stationed near Azaz fired several rockets on Tal Rifa’at in Aleppo, Syria on March 26th, 2020. The injured civilians are IDPs originally from Afrin living in Tal Rifa’at.

@NadiaAbidd reported that “Two civilians were injured in Tel Rifaat city as a result of rocket fire from the Turkish armed forces positioned in the Azaz area.”

Afrin Post said the city was bombed with shells and heavy weapons. One of the injured civilians was identified as Abd al-Rahman Ibrahim, aged 33.

Also according to Rojava Information Center on Twitter, five shells struck down the city of Tal Rifa’at. In addition to injuring the two civilians, the shelling resulted in damaging a water pipe feeding the city which left around 25,000 people without drinking water.

The Field Medicine and Support Center said: “The martyr field hospital, Ayman al-Haramah, affiliated to the Center for Field Medicine and Support, today, Wednesday, 3/25/2020, helps the citizen: Hamza Salem Al-Qamudi (M), 32 years old, after a shell landed on his house in the Ain Zara area, provided him with first aid and transferred him to Tripoli Medical Hospital.

This shell also caused material damage to the house.”
