In a mass civilian casualty event, as many as 82 civilians were killed, and 340 more were wounded, when six surface rockets and three missiles struck a popular market in Atareb. Sources blamed both the Syrian regime and Russia for these raids.

According to sources, 100 shops as well as a police station were destroyed. As many as seven prisoners and 13 policemen were killed asa result.

With the hundreds that were injured, the hospitals were overrun with not enough beds or staff to attend to the wounded. One source reported that six civilians had limbs amputated.

Members of the Syrian Civil Defence spent days pulling bodies and wounded civilians out of the rubble. Many of the injuries were serious, and SN4HR suggested that the death toll was likely to rise.

There were between four and ten missing victims in the days to follow. These include, Ammar Hussam Barakat; Ahmed Sayed Ibrahim; Naji al-Sheikh Ibrahim (was detained at the police station Atareb); Khaled Marzafi (he was detained at al-Atareb police station).

Reports were published more than ten days after the strike bodies were still being recovered from the wreckage.

One man was killed, and others were inured in shelling which struck Sabikhan. Neither sources named Russia as culpable, however Airwars understands Russian warplanes were bombing the vicinity at this period of time.

Additionally, Smart News reported that “civilians were killed and others injured on Sunday by an airstrike likely to be carried out by Russian warplanes on a village and a town in Deir al-Zour province, east of Syria, under the umbrella of the Islamic State.” The source continues to reported that “the aircraft bombed civilian houses in the town of Subikhan in the area of ​​Al-Ashara (62 km east of Deir al-Zour), killing one man and injuring others”.

There was, according to local media, large destruction to civilian property.

Local sources reported that as many as 23 civilians were killed in airstrikes which struck a river crossing in Soussa. Sources were conflicted as to who was culpable for the strikes, with some blaming Russia and others blaming the Syrian regime.

Ghassan Alhaiawi put the numbers killed as high as 23.

The named victims were from the village of Qouriya, according to local media. Syrian Network for Human Rights confirmed the victims were Internally Displaced Peoples.

A “number of wounded” were reported amongst the ranks of civilians, however it is not made clear how many.

Additionally, Syrian Network for Human Rights – who blamed the Syrian regime – reported that “Syrian regime warplanes fired missiles on the water crossing”.

A man and a girl were killed, and six other civilians were wounded, in airstrikes which struck a farm in Al-Taman’a. Sources all either blamed Russia for the strikes, or did not attribute blame to a belligerent. @HomamAlHassan however blamed Syrian regime warplanes.

The civilians were killed on a farm while while harvesting olive crops, according to Shaam – who did not apportion any blame.

The man and child were killed, while six others, including a child and two women were injured, according to Smart.

Syrian Observatory reported that mortar shells were fired on the vicinity. While Syrian Network for Human Rights alleged that missiles were fired. In a similar fashion, Step News reported that cluster bombs were used in the raid.

There were several injures according to sources, however Smart later specified that six civilians faced injuries.

Three of those injuries were critical due to shrapnel wounds in the head and victims were transferred to nearby medical points.
