Airwars assessment

Local media reported that up to four civilians died and several more were injured in an airstrike on Deir Ezzor – though it was unclear whether Russia or the Syrian regime were to blame. According to one source, Al Jisrtv, ISIS mortars also hit the governorate on this day.

The Syrian News Network reported  that “Russian warplanes launched intense raids on the neighbourhoods of al Rashdiya, Al Sina’a, al Ummal, Huweija and Sakr inDeir ez-Zor which led to one person being killed and left others wounded”.

al-AMAWI reported up to four people killed.

Justice for Life (JFL) tweeted that among the killed was one child.

The Syrian News Network pointed to Russia as the culprit, while Baladi News and the twitter accounts JFL NGO and Syriafree339 blamed the Syrian regime.

Two civilians died including one child and several more people were wounded in airstrikes on Atareb, according to local media – though sources were conflicted as to whether Russia or the Syrian regime were to blame.

Sources reported that the victims were father and daughter.

According to LCCSY the two were killed after “Russian warplanes launched 4 airstrikes on #Atareb city, in the western suburb, in the morning”.

Aleppo White Helmets likewise wrote about the incident on their Facebook page, and provided additional information about the wounded, saying that the strike “injured five others and caused damage to buildings.”

Nine sources pointed to Russia while one, the Syrian Network for Human Rights, attributed the strike to the Syrian regime.

Local media reported that alleged Russian airstrikes in Baghdad street in Hraitan outside of Aleppo killed three civilian men and wounded several more.

According to Halab Today TV, “three civilians were martyred following the targeting of Baghdad street in the town of Hraitan in Aleppo”.  Radio al-kul added that the strikes left several wounded.

LCCSY, Halab today TV, Aleppo White Helmets, Syrian Network for Human Rights, Aleppo24, jsirtv, Qasioun, @shahed_alep and  Radio al-Kul all attributed this event to Russia; there were no allegations against the regime – though a number of sources did not identify the warplanes responsible for the attacks.

Two children were killed and up to dozens more were wounded as a result airstrikes on the city al-Maghayer outside of Aleppo, local media reported – though sources were conflicted as to whether this was the work of Russia or the Syrian regime.

Aleppo White Helmets reported  that “a short while ago a missile fell on al Maghayer neighbourhood killing two children and injuring three others including a woman”.

According to local sources, the two children were siblings and among the wounded was their mother.

Most sources reported two deaths, with exception of Syrian Press Center who said that the strike led to the “death of four civilians and wounded dozens”.

The strikes were allegedly carried out with surface-to-surface missiles, according to LCCSY, Halab Today TV, Syrian Network for Human Rights and Jsirtv

Aleppo White Helmets, Halab Today TV and LCCSY pointed to Russia as the culprit and Syria Network for Human Rights and LCCSY (in another post) attributed the strikes to the Syrian regime.

Halab Today, Halab News and Nabd Syria News named the two child victims.

At least four civilians, including two children and one woman, were killed in airstrikes on the village al-Mashreb, reported local media – though sources were conflicted as to whether Russia or the Syrian regime were responsible for the deaths.

Most sources, including Deir Ezzor is Being Slaughtered Silently, al-AMAWI, Baladi News and the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SN4HR) reported that the incident led to the deaths of four named civilians, hereof two children and one woman – allegedly from the same family.

Syria Human Rights News reported “Warplanes bombed areas in the town of rural Al Masreb west of Deir ez-Zor, which resulted in the death of a man, his wife and daughter as well as other citizens”.

According to Al-Hal, “the warplanes  several evening raids on civilian houses in the village, killing a man and his wife and child and another child, and wounding more.”

ShahbaPress and @khaled_qhtan attributed the strikes to Russia while SN4HR, al-AMAWI and Baladi News pointed to the Assad regime as culprit.

Deir Ezzor is Being Slaughtered Silently, Paldf News and the Syria Free Army, named four victims.

Up to 13 civilians died and as many as 20 more were wounded in alleged Russian airstrikes on Al Bab city, according to local media.

Many sources reported that at least seven were killed. Qasioun reported that “Seven civilians were killed and several injured Thursday morning [June 29th], as a result of air strikes on Al-Bab In the countryside-east of Aleppo”.

At the same time, Baladi Network tweeted that  the strikes led to “the death of 13 civilians and injury of 20 others”.
