On Feb. 12, coalition military forces continued to attack ISIL terrorists in Syria and Iraq. In Syria, coalition military forces conducted three strikes using attack and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL targets. Additionally in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 17 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using attack, fighter, and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL targets. * Near Abu Kamal, one strike destroyed an ISIL vehicle.

* Near Dayr Az Zawr, one strike cratered an ISIL-used road.

* Near Ar Raqqah, one strike destroyed an ISIL crane.

Iraq

* Near Al Baghdadi, one strike destroyed four ISIL rocket rails.

* Near Albu Hayat, one strike struck an ISIL tactical unit.

* Near Fallujah, one strike denied ISIL access to terrain.

* Near Habbaniyah, two strikes struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL front end loader.

* Near Makhmur, one strike struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed three ISIL fighting positions.

* Near Mosul, five strikes struck three ISIL tactical units and destroyed 11 ISIL fighting positions, an ISIL excavator, and an ISIL vehicle.

* Near Ramadi, four strikes [1 British] struck two separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed four ISIL staging areas, an ISIL bed down location, and suppressed an ISIL fighting position.

* Near Sinjar, two strikes destroyed eight ISIL fighting positions.

Typhoons were also active east of Ramadi on Friday 12 February, bombing two groups of terrorists, as well as a team planting improvised explosive devices.

* Near Qayyarah, one strike struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed two ISIL fighting positions.

* Near Ramadi, five strikes [2 British] struck two separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed four ISIL fighting positions, an ISIL machine gun, an ISIL bed down location, an ISIL command and control node, and two ISIL vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) facilities.

* Near Sinjar, three strikes struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed five ISIL fighting positions.

* Near Sultan Abdallah, one strike struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL fighting position.

* Near Tal Afar, one strike struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL checkpoint.

As Iraqi ground forces clear the remaining pockets of Daesh within Ramadi city they are also turning their efforts to Daesh strongpoints to the north and east of the city, supported by coalition aircraft. On Thursday [11 February], a pair of Typhoons, working in close cooperation with a coalition surveillance aircraft, successfully conducted two Paveway attacks on groups of terrorist fighters. Later that day, a second Typhoon mission over the area used Paveways to destroy a heavy machine-gun position and an accommodation block used by Dash.

Coalition military forces conducted one strike in Iraq in support of Coalition operations using fighter aircraft:

* Near Albu Hayat, one strike struck inoperable Coalition equipment denying ISIL access in support of Coalition operations.

The following day, Wednesday 10 February, Typhoons provided close air support to Iraqi troops engaged in close combat with Daesh extremists north of Habbaniyah. The Typhoons struck the terrorists with a pair of Paveway IVs.

On 10 February 2016, while taking part in coalition operations in support of Iraqi security forces, two CF-18 Hornets successfully struck an ISIL fighting position north of Ramadi using precision guided munitions.

La force Chammal a concentré ses efforts sur les missions d’appui au sol dans la région de Mossoul. Les combattants de Daech y occupent des positions défensives et harcèlent les forces au sol.

Elle a également appuyé les forces irakiennes dans le secteur de Ramadi, où ces dernières poursuivent leurs opérations de contrôle de la ville.

Le 7 février, 1 patrouille de Mirage 2000D a détruit un poste de commandement et des positions de tir tenues par des combattants de Daech dans la région de Hassaké.

Proche et Moyen-Orient: Chammal

En Irak, Daech reste sur une posture défensive, contenant la pression exercée par les forces de sécurité irakienne. En Syrie, l’organisation terroriste conduit principalement des actions d’opportunité.

Situation tactique: Irak-Syrie

Les opérations aériennes de la Coalition se concentrent dans la vallée du Tigre, en particulier dans le secteur de Mossoul et dans la vallée de l’Euphrate, où les forces irakiennes poursuivent leurs efforts en direction de Ramadi et de Falloujah.

Le commandement des forces irakiennes estime que la conquête de Ramadi est désormais achevée, ses forces mettant hors de combat les dernières résistances terroristes.

Chasmal: 550 soldats des forces spéciales irakiennes formées par les forces françaises

Forte de 3 500 militaires, l’opération Chammal maintient un rythme d’activités opérationnelles soutenu.

A Bagdad, la composante terrestre a poursuivi ses actions de formation et de missions de conseil au profit de la 6edivision d’infanterie irakienne et de l’Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service (ICTS).

Les militaires français de la Task Force (TF) Narvik assurent actuellement la formation de 550 soldats des forces spéciales irakiennes de l’ICTS.

Chasmal: 182 objectifs de Daech détruits depuis le 1er Janvier 2016

Depuis le 1erjanvier 2016, les équipages de l’armée de l’air et de la marine nationale de la force Chammal ont réalisé 454 sorties aériennes. Au total, ils ont mené 114 frappes et détruit 182 objectifs tenus par Daech.

Missiona aériennes: un rythme d’engagement élevé

Cette semaine les activités aériennes de la force ont été marquées par un rythme d’engagement élevé. Depuis le 3 février 2016, 93 sorties ont ainsi été effectuées dont 13 sorties dédiées aux missions de reconnaissance, 6 aux missions contrôle et de coordination des missions aériennes de la coalition (command and control ou C2) et 73 aux missions de bombardement sur des objectifs planifiés ou d’opportunité. Les différentes frappes conduites par les aéronefs français ont permis de détruire 34 objectifs tenus par Daech. Le 7 février, une patrouille de Mirage 2000D a ainsi détruit un poste de commandement et des positions de tir tenus en Syrie par des combattants de Daech dans la région d’Hassaké.

On Tuesday 9 February, a pair of Typhoon FGR4s, supported by an RAFVoyager air refuelling tanker, destroyed an armoured vehicle, converted into a large truck-bomb, blocking a road with a Paveway IV guided bomb south-west of Kirkuk.
