Eleven civilians reportedly died in Al Sukkari, Aleppo, following a suspected Russian attack, however most sources reported only six killed. Numerous sources, including, Aleppo24 said that of those six four were children.

Sdusyria listed various neighbourhoods of Aleppo struck by “Assad forces” and a “Russian airliner” – it counted 11 dead in Al Sukkari.

Annahar blamed Russia for the attacks whilst Al Jazeera did not name the culprit and referred only to “explosives and space rockets”. The news outlet said six were killed. @ShahbaPress and @Shahed_alep also suspected six killed – including four children, though neither source identified the culprit.

Syrian News Desk said eight died in Al Sukkari – including two children. The source explained the raid on the neighboorhood was part of a larger offensive on areas over Aleppo in which numerous civilians died.

@Abohraid007 posted a very graphic photograph of one of the victims and attributed blame to three parties, “Assad”, “Iran”, and “Russia”.

@3rj5oPnn2XeKaYg said both Russia and the Regime bombed the neighbourhood.

Airwars assessment

One civilian was killed in a airstrike in Bab al Nayrab, Aleppo, according to local media.

It is unclear who was responsible for the attack, with multiple sources citing both Russian and Syrian planes.

Three local media sites said that one civilian died in the attack. Halab News says one “unidentified” civilian died “following Russian enemy raids on Bab al Nairab neighbourhood.”

A report from Annahar news said: “The bombing was accompanied by raids, barrels of explosives and rocket launchers, according to an AFP correspondent. He said one of the raids targeted a civilian defense center in the Bab al-Nairab neighborhood, without causing any casualties.”

It is thought that Bab al Nayrab’s water and electricity stations were struck, with multiple sources claiming that they were put out of service by the bombing.

The attack was part of a wider campaign on the neighbourhoods of Eastern Aleppo. It is currently unknown how many injuries there were in Bab al Nayrab alone.

According to the BBC on November 17th, “Russian cruise missiles were also reported to have been seen on the third day of the attack and were driven towards Aleppo. Moscow had said earlier it was not targeting the city of Aleppo. Rescuers said Wednesday night [Nov 16th] that 100 people were killed there and in surrounding areas during the attack. A large number of injuries were said to have occurred in recent attacks.”

The local time of the incident is unknown.

Airwars assessment

Eight or nine civilians died and up to dozens more were injured in an alleged Russian or Assad regime airstrike on Ard Al Hamra, Aleppo, according to multiple local sources. While some sources blamed Russia, others accused the regime of dropping barrels of chlorine gas from helicopters.

Ara News put the death toll at nine civilians, though it didn’t identify the culprit. According to the source, civilian homes were destroyed and the death toll was likely to rise as more civilians were trapped under the rubble. @aljmhoria also reported nine killed.

@Roj24K said that “chlorine gas” was used in both Ard Al Hamra and Masaken Hananou, “after a helicopter threw and explosive barrel”. Smo-sy reiterated the use of chlorine and said a regime “helicopter dropped six explosive drums containing chlorine gas in the neighborhood of Sananu Masaken Hananou and the Ard Al-Hamra area, suffocating dozens of civilians who were transferred to field hospitals for necessary treatment”.
