Airwars assessment

Between ten and 15 civilians died, including ten or 11 from the Bakhour family, in an alleged Russian airstrike on their home in Abu Huwadid village near Akeirbat, according to sources on the ground. Sources attributed the blame to Russia.

The Local council of Akeirbat and its countryside on Facebook said that the only survivor from the family was the wife of Abu Hassan Bakour, Umm Hassan Bakr. Syria2011  also said that only one woman from the family survived, though it didn’t name her.

According to Zamanalwasl, “Abdul Latif Bakour, the head of the family, was a bulldozer driver in the town of Talbisa for more than 20 years. He left work for a private job. He is from a poor family, and his entire family was displaced to the Hama desert because of the very violent shelling of his city over the past six years, which led to the destruction of 70% of his family’s houses”.

Syria News Desk said that the family had earlier fled from Talbisa village in the northern countryside of Homs.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that 11 people from the family had died,”including four citizen women”, while Zamanalwasl put the death toll as high as 15 (including 10 from the Bakhour family).

The local time of the incident is unknown.

Airwars assessment

Local sources reported the killing of between four and 14 civilians, including children, and the wounding of up to 31 more in alleged Russian or Syrian regime airstrikes on civilian areas of the city of Tafas.

Some sources reported that two more civilians succumbed to their wounds after treatment in medical facilities.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights was among several sources putting the death toll at four – though other sources said that the death toll had risen to 12 – and multiple reports named 11 victims. SN4HR attributed the civilian harm to “Syrian-Russian alliance warplanes”.

According to the Shaam News Network, “a horrific massacre took place in the city of Tafas in the village of Daraa after violent raids directly targeting civilian houses. The Civil Defence teams went to the targeted areas to work on lifting the rubble and transporting the martyrs and wounded to the field hospitals.

“The raids claimed the lives of more than nine martyrs and wounded many more, including women and children. There were very serious cases among those wounded, which meant that the death toll may well rise. Activists noted that a number of martyrs are still unidentified because their bodies were burnt”.

Most of the victims of the airstrike had reportedly fled earlier from violence in the city of Daraa.

Orient News gave the highest death count of 14 civilians with 31 more wounded.

The local time of the incident is unknown.

Airwars assessment

Local sources reported the killing of Mohamad Amla Al Fals Abu Ammar and his daughter Wafa Amla Al Fals on Sunday June 4th, as warplanes struck his residence in the village of Muhasan in rural Deir Ezzor.

Some sources also mentioned the wounding of other members of his family. The sources disagreed on the nationality of the warplanes, as some alleged they were Russian, and others contended that they were Syrian regime warplanes.

According to Jorf, “Mohammed al-Fals and his young daughter Wafa were killed and his sons and grandchildren were seriously injured in a raid on his house in the city of Muhsin east.”

@Maher_slebi  and  @abdulhzidan, alleged that the US-led Coalition was responsible for the death of Mr Mohammed al-Fals and his daughter – however, @abdulhzidan said that they were killed at night when the Coalition reportedly struck their home.

Orient News didn’t identify the warplanes responsible but said that the attack resulted in “three martyrs and seven wounded, including women and children.”

The local time of the incident is unknown.
